Tokyo Jungle

Just a quick post for a friend.

Living in Japan certainly has it’s ups and downs. High points – Tokyo is a big and exciting place with a similar feel to New York, everything is convenient (microwaves in shopping centres, hot coffee in vending machines) and the ancient Japanese culture is still somewhat preserved. Low points – Rush hour on the buses and trains (crushed lungs, trampled feet) and the constant guessing game I play with Japanese food. But all in all I love and enjoy Tokyo, perhaps because it’s got little hints of other cities I love.

    I love Tokyo! It’s beautiful! :-)

    • Me too, but I’m still pretty new here. Any suggestions of places to visit?

Have you been to Harajuku, Meiji Shrine, Omotesando and Ginkgo Avenue? It’s all in west tokyo, probably one or two stations away from Shibuya Station. If you are into shopping (from high end to cheap buys) you’ll love it there. I’m so jealous! I was in Tokyo just a month ago and I’m already planning to go back! haha.
