It’s been more than a year since I went to the man-made island, Odaiba, and I don’t know why it’s taken this long. There’s no shortage of restaurants, shops or museums, plus a theme park and a small beach, all clustered together opposite the Tokyo skyline. When the weather permits*, Odaiba is always a nice day out. Try to go during the week to avoid the crowds, long lines, and dozens of couples lining the shore at sunset, unless of course you are a couple, in which case please DO go on a Sunday and leave the rest of us singletons to enjoy the sunset in peace. Thanks for understanding.

*Note to self: do not go to Odaiba on a particularly windy day!
