Hidden Garden

It’s recently been pointed out to me that my choice of places to visit is swayed by whether or not I think it’ll make a nice photo. Looking at these photos it’s quite possible. In fact, half of these were taken last week, but it’s was too pretty I went back again today. This place is called Shinjuku Gyoen – a large botanical garden located in the middle of the bustling Shinjuku, Tokyo. As cliche as it is, it’s easy to forget the biggest city in the world lies just beyond the gates to this peaceful Japanese garden. (Even with the skyscrapers towering over the trees.) It’s definitely a wonderful place to spend a sunny afternoon in Spring…

Especially when the cherry blossoms are in bloom!

Again with being drawn to pretty things. I guess I just love a bright and colourful picture, no time to be dull and boring. Unless we’re talking black and white photography, then I’m all for it!

  2. Hi Luna,
Shinjuku Goen is one of my favourite spots and it looks wonderful here with lots of sakura in bloom. You have to enjoy and capture the images while you can.
